SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT

Region IV District Coaching
LCESC will provide facilitators to help districts analyze and prioritize needs based on the Tri-Tier model and create a collaborative plan for assisting district leadership teams with their efforts to improve student achievement and organizational efficiency. Specialists in the areas of Special Education Compliance, Literacy, School Improvement and Early Learning / School Readiness will facilitate and monitor progress of data driven performance agreements.

Professional Development Coordination
Facilitators for school improvement functions (Special Education, Literacy, Early Learning / School Readiness) will provide professional development activities aligned to district needs and guide districts in selection of consultants in research based best practices for meeting the needs of identified subgroups. Additional professional development based on needs in other areas, (Science, Gifted, Math, and program development, etc.) may be arranged through ESC coordinators and content specialists.

Value Added Support
Our ESC has two state supported Regional Value Added Specialists who are able to assist and support district value-added specialists in the training and use of value-added data and the associated reports. Assistance with data analysis and use for decision making are a key component of the value-added metric. A subscription to the Value Added Learning Network is available through LCES at a 10% savings for districts.
