The Superintendent shall be the chief executive officer of the Educational Service Center. The Superintendent shall define and establish those administrative positions required to implement the educational services and programs established by the Board. In each case, the Board will approve the broad purpose and function of the position in harmony with State law and regulations.
Responsibility shall flow clearly from the Superintendent through the administrative staff to the operational personnel.
Brian Bontempo. - Superintendent
Brian Bontempo was appointed Superintendent of the Lake County Educational Service Center in December, 2009. He joined the Lake County Educational Service Center in August, 2005 as the Assistant Superintendent. Prior to joining the Lake County Educational Service Center, Mr. Bontempo served as principal at Willoughby South High School . His background also includes working as assistant principal for both middle and high schools, director of technology and classroom teacher in local school districts.In addition, he has served on numerous levy and labor management and dispute committees and has considerable experience in curriculum and program development. Mr. Bontempo holds a B.S. in Business Education, Masters Degree in Computer Education and a Masters Degree in Educational Administration. He also holds superintendent's and treasurer's licenses.

The Treasurer serves as the fiscal agent for The Lake County Educational Service Center and provides the following services:

- Payroll/Benefits/Human Resources
- Asset and Inventory Management
- Investments
- Business Services
- Grant Management (Local, State and Federal)
- Budgetary
